Screw Piling Benefits

Benefits of Screw Piling for Homes in Greater Sydney

Cost and time efficient foundation solutions

Screw Piling in a Nutshell

At ACME Screw Piling, we recommend screw piling for several reasons. Not only is it affordable and efficient, but there are also numerous benefits:

  • A neat and clean job
  • Less overheads unlike concrete piling
  • Simple installation (a steel pipe screwed into the ground)
  • A more efficient and streamlined job

Why Choose Screw Piling?

Screw piling is a great way to secure the foundation of any building project. Not only can it be cost and time efficient, but there is a myriad of benefits to be had from this type of foundation procedure.

Fast & Cost-Effective Installation Process

While there are many ways to set up building foundations, screw piles can be up to five times faster than traditionally bored piles and up to 25 % of the cost of CFA piles used in waterlogged or sandy soils.

Concrete & Reinforcements Not Required

What's more, concrete and reinforcements aren't required to stabilise the piles. Unlike traditional boring methods, groundwater doesn't affect the screw pile installation process.

No Spoiled Soil or Asbestos

Spoil isn't generated, and underground asbestos isn't brought up to the surface during installation. This means you can avoid expensive soil and asbestos removal procedures.

Easily Removable & Reusable

All our screw piling projects are signed off by a fully accredited third party NER engineer to help attain the occupancy certificate. If you change your mind, we can also unscrew the piles, which can be reused without expensive demolition.

Customised Design for Your Project

Our screw piles have a 100% end bearing design, which makes our screw piles suitable for all types of loads. If you have acid sulphate soil, our piles can be designed accordingly as well.  “P” classification sites are also not a problem for screw piles.
